Nampa & District Museum

The Nampa & District Historical Society was established in 1978, the purpose was to record and preserve the history of Nampa and surrounding area. The Society’s efforts led to the publication of a two-volume local history book entitled “Turning the Pages of Time” (free volumes are available at the Museum). The history book was awarded the prestigious Alberta Culture History Book Award in 1981. This sparked enough interest locally to lead to the creation of the Nampa & District Museum in 1985. In 2014 the Museum moved to a new location and is now located in the Nampa Regional Civic Center. With displays on two floors year round and outdoor exhibits accessible from May through September.
